Stefan Hasselblad serves as Counsel to the firm on litigation and business matters and is also the Principal Attorney of Eagle Cap Law PC. Stefan is a distinguished litigation attorney with extensive experience in commercial disputes, antitrust matters, and complex civil litigation. Stefan has established an impressive track record in high-stakes litigation, having drafted an Opposition to Class Certification that defeated class claims with significant financial exposure. He has represented major firearms manufacturers in merger-related disputes and led litigation involving complex property and partnership claims. His experience encompasses a diverse range of commercial litigation matters across multiple industries.
In government service, Stefan served as an Assistant United States Attorney in Charleston, West Virginia, where he prosecuted public corruption and white-collar crime at the trial and appellate levels. He successfully investigated, indicted, and obtained guilty pleas from participants in a multi-million dollar fraud scheme against a major auto manufacturer.
Stefan has previously practiced antitrust and securities litigation at the leading litigation boutique, Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick, and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Neil M. Gorsuch at the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals prior to Justice Gorsuch’s appointment to the Supreme Court.
Stefan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as Deputy Managing Editor and Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal of law and Public Policy. He graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a B.A. in Political Science, where he was awarded Senior Marshal (an honor recognizing the top 15 graduates for achievement in academics and extracurricular activities). Stefan has also served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army, where he led 40+ soldiers on patrol missions and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
Stefan is licensed in Washington, D.C and Oregon. He assists the firm on federal matters and is not admitted in New York.
